Privacy policy
Last updated: 7 November 2026.
Ardam is a Chrome extension. It has no server and no accounts. We, the people who make Ardam, don't receive your API key or the pages you convert, and the extension has no analytics or tracking.
What stays on your device
- Your AI provider, model name and API key.
- Converted text, saved so a page you've converted costs nothing to load again.
These are kept in your browser's local extension storage. They aren't encrypted there, so avoid using your key on a shared computer. Removing the extension removes them.
What goes to your AI provider
When you click convert, the page's title and main text are sent directly from your browser to the provider you chose, along with your API key. This happens only when you ask for it. That provider's own privacy policy and terms apply, so check them, and don't convert private pages you wouldn't want the provider to see.
Permissions Ardam asks for
- Active tab and scripting: to read and convert the page you're on when you open Ardam.
- Storage: to keep your settings and saved conversions on your device.
- Access to your provider's address: to send it requests. Chrome asks you first.
This website
This website has no accounts or forms. It loads fonts from Google Fonts and Fontshare, and it runs on Cloudflare, so those services can see basic request details such as your IP address.
Your choices
Remove the extension at any time to delete everything it stored. To remove data held by your AI provider, contact that provider.
Children
Ardam isn't directed at children under 13.
